Membership

The Maverick Grotto welcomes all people who are interested in caving.  You are invited to visit our meetings and get involved with our organization.  The benefits are the camaraderie of people with similar interests.  Below are the requirements to become a member of the grotto.

Prospective grotto members are required to complete trips to three separate caves with three grotto members before completing a membership application. The application is accepted or rejected at a regularly scheduled meeting by a majority vote of the members present, and the decision made official upon payment of grotto dues.

Members are expected to respect caves as fragile, limited natural resources to be enjoyed and preserved for the use of future generations, and to cave softly accordingly.

Grotto members renew their membership annually with  dues becoming due at the first of the calendar year.
